Dear president:
We congratulate you on having introduced an international “mother language day” on the 21 st February. By this manifestation you show that you want and understand how important language is to preserve the culture and traditions of a nationality and  how language brightens up the world.
Iran is a multi - cultural society .70% of Irans people are not Persian ,but the Persian culture and language has the political power in Iran and does not tolerate the other cultures and nationalities .
Between 1925 to 1979 the Pahlavi regime killed tens of thousands of people of other cultures e.g. Turks ,Kurds ,Arabs, Beluchs  ,lors , Turkmen etc.
In 1933 the shahs regime accepted that the only official language of Iran was Persian and other languages were thereafter forbidden.
From 1979 until the present day the religious Islamic republic continues the same chauvinist politics of the previous one . hanging and imprisoning activists.
In 1979 the Iranian government was forced under pressure from ethnic groups within Iran to accept other languages and equal rights for other ethnic groups and include this in the constitution, but during the following 35 years Iran has not allowed our children or students to learn their mother tongue in school or university.
The present president Hasan Ruhani had promised to accept other languages in the education system before the election, but now nothing had changed.
Irans` fascist system with the revolutionaryu army and the Persian organization responsible for   the preservation of the Persian culture have once again prevented other languages from being taught in the schools and universities
We want our culture and language to be one of the official languages in Iran and spoken officially as Persian is now.
Dear president
We would greatly appreciate if UNESCO would consider having a special designated day for the forbidden languages in Iran where
representatives of those cultures could meet and   make an agreement which could than be presented to the Iranian government.
The Iranian regime has tried through assimilation and through cultural genocide to eradicate other cultures .
Please consider our difficult position and help our prohibited cultures e.g Turks,Kurds ,Arabs, Beluchs  ,lors , Turkmen etc  to present their arguments against Iran.
